A classic blend still using the 80/20 ratio of Aliganico and Piedirosso as was done in older times. The Masseria Felicia winery is located at the foot of Mount Massico, Sessa Aurunca. The vineyards are at 200 meters in elevation and and the soil is a volcanic base of gray tuff, pumice and ash. Fermented in open conical chestnut barrels. Aging is in barriques for 12/14 months and 12 months in bottle before release. This wine has the depth to age a good decade or more and is just beginning to show some evolution on the palate.
