Made from old Côt vines that give layers of wild, dark fruit flavors. When Julien Pineau found out that Clos Roche Blanche wanted to sell their land, he quickly jumped on the opportunity to invest in the legendary site with partner Laurent Saillard. He respects these great vineyards. The land is worked by horse and the soils are not sprayed with pesticides. In the cellar, no addition of sulfur is used at any point and Julien favors long élevages of his cuvées. Winemaker Julien Pineau had the good fortune of taking over some vines from the iconic Clos Roche Blanche estate. He trained under Didier Barrouillet but has come into his own all the while respecting the land that he was fortunate enough to obtain.
