In the Südtirol, Pinot Nero is also known as Blauburgunder which is indeed the Burgundian Pinot Noir. From Caldaro and Bolzano vines planted over 1200 feet in elevation, this red is both elegant and fruited. Aged in large oak casks however this is a wine you can enjoy now or in a few years to come.
