From 45 year old vines planted in calcareous-schist at around 800 meters in elevation in the Swiss Alps. After a lengthy maceration of months on the skin followed by fermentation, the wine was aged in 222 liter oak barrels for 3 years. Earthy yet youthful and full of vigor and complexity on the palate.
