Tasting Notes

Leo Hillinger took over his father's estate in 1990 and transformed it into a much larger organic winery producing an array of wines. His Blaufränkisch sees fermentation with native yeast, and 1/3 is aged in used oak, 2/3 in stainless steel. This medium-bodied dry red has black fruit and sweet spice aromas, and medium tannic structure. Pair with veal goulash.
