Tasting Notes

**Beathan's Farm** A classic, well-balanced Speyside initially aged in bourbon barrels and then transferred to Sherry casks for a brief finishing. Notes of fruits and nuts lead to a soft and sweet finish.

Staff Pick Notes

The Balvenie Double Wood gains its distinctive character from being matured in two different wood types. Each stage lends different qualities to this great single malt. First, it spends 12 years in American ex Bourbon cask and then an additional 9 months in former Oloroso sherry cask. The American oak adds soft notes to the whisky. The Sherry cask gives spicy and nutty flavors. I like the long finish that lingers in my mouth. I taste additional smooth smoky notes that add complexity. Drink it straight or simply with an ice cube. After the first glass you will look for another one! Simply a classic!
