These days, there are more whiskey options than ever before. Some bottles are for the collectors, while others the drinkers. This vintage dated, single-barrel bottling by Evan Williams is for the whiskey drinkers. Evan Williams shares the same low-rye mash bill as Elijah Craig (another tremendous value, but more on that another time). This gives the whiskey an underlying spice with bergamot, cherry and light oak on the palate. This is one of my top "table whiskies" that has proven itself to be a staple in my cabinet.
