This Old Tom works as a perfect backbone for the Martinez, the latest common ancestor of a large family of cocktails, like the manhattan and martini. This gin lends a malty sweetness, alongside a complex bouquet of nuanced botanicals that highlight all the features of this cocktail: deep complexity and layers of aromas and flavors.
