Tasting Notes

The artisinal approach to production is evident from founder David Ravandi. From the hand-blown recycled glass and label to the local artists' wood carving, comes this twice distilled blanco that really showcases regionality. Fruity floral tones great with lime, citrus following on the nose. Dirty, peppery, root driven agave on the palate creates true flavor!

Staff Pick Notes

Bad tequila is awful, but that doesn't make expensive tequila the best. There's a lot of marketing that can keep you from connecting with what's actually in your glass, and the message is usually that better tequila has less flavor. Most of the $uper premium brands I've tried are sleek and gooey, and totally miss the point of what's good about the spirit. I like tequilas from the Jalisco Lowlands a lot. In general they show more of what I think of as an agave flavor, meaning they taste like they came from a plant that grew in the ground. 123's Blanco does this with a deep flavor of dirt and pepper that tastes unique in its intensity. The bottle happens to be beautiful as well, with textured, handblown glass. It's a great step up for anyone that is used to drinking tequila strictly in the club.
