Future Gin

Item # 40408 750mL

If you want to know why the independent artisanal spirits movement is so important, you need not look further than this gin. Distilled by one of the country's most exciting new talents, based in Downtown LA, the recipe was conceived by and the brand is owned by four of the industry's leading women. This is gin for gin lover's with a twist. The heart is piney, spicy juniper and the aromas let you know this will play nice in your dirty martinis and g&ts but the incredibly luxe texture and the focus on local Southern California botanicals set this gin apart from most you've ever had. Meyer lemon, honeysuckle and grape leaf open the door to all kinds of new possibilities for drinks. The future has arrived.

Staff Pick Notes

An ideal beverage pairing for this newly released Future Gin would most definitely be a viewing of Jacques Tati's 1958 masterpiece Mon Oncle. Watch as Monsieur Hulot is puzzled, amused, and confounded by the minimalist excesses of then-new Modernist architecture and design. As the metallic fish fountain spurts water, take sip after sip of your cocktail containing this delightful and fresh juniper gem from four boss women based in LA. This is not the layer of smog engulfing the city's postmodernist patchwork of traffic-clogged freeways. This is the Getty rising above it all. Southern Californian aromatics such as Meyer lemon, honeysuckle, grape leaf, and avocado leaf (!!!) all compliment the traditional gin botanicals. Unlike Villa Arpel this gin functions properly, and is designed for maximum enjoyment.

Glossary

California

California makes more wine than any other state in the United States. Not only does the state grow a variety of noble grape varieties like Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, there are also plantings of lesser-known varieties such as Nebbiolo, Roussanne and Mourvèdre to name just a few.
