The 7th installment of this brilliantly creative and collectible series celebrates the inauguration of the new Macallan Distillery as seen through the eyes of 6 master photographers working for the greatest, most storied photo agency in the world, Magnum Photos. The set includes 6 signed photo prints from the photographers themselves as well as a collectible art book and a bespoke whisky from whisky maker Sarah Burgess blended from only 8 casks including stocks aged in ex-Rioja wine casks as well as very rare peated Macallan spirit. Only 2,000 bottles for the world of which just over 200 made it to North America with even fewer for New York. Very limited.

Scotland

History:Distillation was brought to Scotland from Ireland by missionary monks in the 6th century. In 1644, the first taxes were imposed on Scottish distillers by England, with the result that most of the nation’s whisky was soon distilled illicitly. With the Parliament’s passing of the “Excise Act” in 1824, licensing fees for distilleries were much cheaper.
