While cask exploration has been one of the hallmarks of Scotch Whisky for more than a decade now, well made whisky aged simply in refill American Oak Casks remains a difficult thing to beat, particularly for older whiskies. This limited release was created from spirit distilled in 1999 and this single cask was filled on March 26th of that year. After maturing for 21yrs it was bottled on July 21st 2020 at 47.8% abv. from single cask #5368. Nothing fancy here folks, just extremely good, old Scotch Whisky, Very limited availability.
