Linie is famous for its unique voyage around the world—its namesake coming from the fact that it makes two trips by ship from Norway to Australia around the equator or "linie". It is produced from potatoes and then infused with the usual suspects of caraway, dill, anise, fennel, and coriander. The spirit is then matured in Oloroso casks which account for the beautiful golden hue, soft vanilla notes, and incredible smoothness on the palate. Other complex notes include fresh mint, sea air, and baking spices. Serve neat in cocktails! Try the North Sea Oil: 1.5oz Linie, 0.75oz Cochi Americano, 0.5oz Laphroaig 10yr Islay Scotch, and .25oz Combier Triple Sec; Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice, strain into a double rocks glass over one large cube; Squeeze grapefruit over glass and then place in drink (Leo Robitschek, NoMad).
