This aperitif is produced using an infusion of a variety of herbs, fruit and roots such as bitter orange peel, rhubarb and wormwood. We are inspired to use this in an Americano Highball: 1.5 oz Sweet Vermouth, 1.5 oz Gran Classico Bitter stirred and topped with soda water. Serve with an orange twist.

Are you looking for an interesting and delicious way to liven up a bevy of beverages? I thought that I had lost touch with many traditional Italian and modern cocktails due to their heavy reliance on one particular aperitivo. Little did I know that something bigger, bolder, and I think better, exists. Flavored and colored using an assortment of 25 herbs and roots, this is a more natural take on some of the bright red aperitivi around. Its complexity and bitter orange, gentian, and rhubarb (among many more!) flavors will brighten up this winter. This is a recreation of the original bitter of Turin.
