This is quite possibly the best bottling of Dobadan we have ever tasted. We don't like to play the best/worst game over here, everything has its level of value, but its is pretty hard to not say so in this case. It is just that good. Notes include ramps, cucumber water, lime peels, sea salts, muskmelon, mulberries, green peppercorns and jasmine.

Made exclusively from Dobadán or agave rhodacantha, this is a unique option from a somewhat elusive variety of the plant. Agave comes in all shapes and sizes. Dobadán grows sharply pointed leaves up to 8 feet long if fully matured in its native habitat. This Mezcal emits notes of pepper and spearmint on the nose. On the palate it is crisp and drying, with herbal and fruity components and an underlying hint of salinity. Some Mezcals are extremely smokey, but Marca Negra provides well balanced flavors from start to finish. Don't overlook this bottle - it's arguably the best of its kind!
