Boasting not only one of the oldest estates in all of Bordeaux, but also some of its oldest pre-phylloxera vines, Ch. Trotte Vieille is named from a particularly curious old woman used to live here in its earliest days. On red clay-covered limestone soils, these deep-rooted old vines produce concentrated fruit. Pair this spicy, dry, medium-bodied red with grilled lamb ribs and herb sauce.
