When I first heard of this new rum, I wrongly assumed that the addition of Jamaican rum would render it funky. But the genius of master distiller Richard Seale is that he knows the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, and that’s definitely the case here. The low ester pot still rum blends perfectly with the Foursquare rum. The result is aromatic, arresting, and flavorful. At 47% abv it’s meant to be mixed in your favorite rum cocktails.
