A new limited batch of special whiskies blended from choice single malt casks from some of the top boutique distillers in Scotland. A rare batch of one of these malts was aged in Spanish wine casks that had been infused with oranges, prior to the whisky's turn at it lending a very unique layered honey orange and earthy chocolate element to the whisky. Tomatin make up the bulk of this whisky, including the batch aged in 'orange wine casks', followed by malts aged in ex-American Oak from Glenburgie, Glen Elgin and the magnificient Imperial. Available in very limited quantities. Total output for the world yielded 5,880 bottles.

Scotland

History:Distillation was brought to Scotland from Ireland by missionary monks in the 6th century. In 1644, the first taxes were imposed on Scottish distillers by England, with the result that most of the nation’s whisky was soon distilled illicitly. With the Parliament’s passing of the “Excise Act” in 1824, licensing fees for distilleries were much cheaper. Distilleries started to take out licenses, and since then, the distillation industry in Scotland has been continuously expanding....
