Vinudilice Rosato, I Vigneri - 2022

750 mL
Item # 48925

A blend of local grapes that are hand harvested and fermented with native yeasts in wooden vats. A fuller-bodied rosé from Sicily you should drink with just a slight chill. The structure of the wine makes it a great wine to pair with a plate of cured meats and cheeses.

Staff Pick Notes

There's A LOT to say about this producer and the incredible work they do to preserve the oldest vines planted on Mount Etna. Salvio Foti is a reference for his tact in capturing vineyard expression with clarity and balance. If you see the “I Vigneri” insignia on the bottle, pick it up and it won’t disappoint. Vinudilice is a rosé grown in the vineyard: white and red grapes are harvested and vinified all together to capture a singular expression of this specific vineyard site on Etna’s Northwestern slopes. The “Nave” contrada sits at nearly 4000 feet of elevation, making it one of the highest vineyards in Europe. This all sums up to a truly captivating wine, fine and energetic with clarity and persistence. It’s a rose’ with echoes of Chablis complexity. Strawberry skin, fennel frond and with salty mineral undertone.
