This ancient domaine that is currently run by two generations of the de Montal family, longtime stewards of this special place, makes some of the finest, natural terroir driven brandies in the world. But while most of their production centers around the regions patron spirit, Armagnac, they also make very limited seasonal bottlings like this pear eau de vie, made from fruit grown in private orchards nearby in Perigord. A decadent experience for something that is meant to be a simple pleasure. Outstanding.
