Chateau Arton Les Réserves Aged Plum Brandy

Arton is simply one of the greatest brandy producers on the planet. We are fully convinced. Even things outside their obvious domaine of Armagnac, like this extraordinary plum brandy, will simply blow you away with their beauty. Carrying on a tradition dating back to at least the 13th Century when these plums were brought over from Greece to the Perigord region of France - the brandy is made from the seasons freshest plums, very slowly distilled to not disturb their quality in a small copper pot still before being gently aged for six months in ex-armagnac casks to round the spirit it out as well as add a flourish of nuanced notes. And maybe most importantly this spirit should probably be used best liberally applied to cocktails. As the label says - 'With cocktailing, quality bests quantity.'
