Buffalo Trace Astor Select Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

A thoroughbred expression of this iconic bourbon that is everything you want and expect from this label but with a few distinctive touches that make it stand out from the standard. Aged in a custom barrel composed of 6 month natural air seasoned staves that were applied with a heavy 4 char on April 16th 2016 and aged for just under 9yrs before being bottled on February 18th 2025. The extended aging on the 2nd flr of rick 33 Warehouse O gives this both more depth and extra mellowness. The hallmark notes of orange peel, summer peaches, red apple, ginger cake and crackling spices all linger a little bit longer than usual. Total yield of only 192 bottles.
