Located in the far south of Japan's main island, just outside of the city of Kagoshima, the unique, humid, at times tropical climate here, the high levels of peat in the malt and the rigourous attention to detail in the cellar coax out so much nuance from these whiskies sending your tastebuds on a rollercoaster ride especially so with this once a year higher proof non-chill filtered edition.
Notes from this edition are aided by the addition of 10% sherry cask matured stocks and feature notes of strawberry jam, orange zest, and red bean pastry, chocolate, black tea, and campfire.
