Rhine Hall Guava Eau-de-Vie

While we all know Astor is the place to go for new, delicious and game-changing items on our home bars; The first wine & spirits store I worked in had quite a collection of very, very fine Brandy and Eau-de-vie. It was here that I first encountered the spirits from Rhine Hall, owned and operated by Charlie and Jenny Solberg in Chicago, Illinois since 2013. Always utilizing 100% fruit without the aids of neutral spirits, artificial flavorings, or sweeteners. Yellow Guava is mashed into a puree and fermented 4 to 6 weeks in stainless steel tanks capped with cloth covers. Double distilled in an Alembic Still typically used for Mezcal. A pure spirit to be sure, but you will never confuse this with a European expression. More giving in sweetness and in tartness.
