Tasting Notes

This domaine has been producing wine since 1512 as indicated on the capsule, and continues to impress hundreds of years later. Their Gamay tends towards darker fruit with ripe tannins making it a delicious pair for wild fowl.

Staff Pick Notes

Somehow classic Beaujolais, but somehow a little fuller in style. This Beaujolais from Domaine Dupeuble is a great example of a solid fruit wine. Indeed the fruit might be a bit more pronounced than the classic Beaujolais, and for this reason, this is a wine that will help you transition into the winter season and later on to darker red fruit wines. Domaine Dupeuble is located in the southern section of the Beaujolais appellation, and has been running continuously since 1512 (yes! 3 years before the Battle of Marignano!). Here you have a great wine at a great value.

Beaujolais Nouveau is perhaps the most gulpable wine...
