Mullineux Family, Olerasay 3° Straw Wine

Half-Bottle of Mullineux Family, Olerasay 3° Straw Wine - NV

Item # 43062 375mL

A luscious dessert wine made from several parcels of old vines of Chenin Blanc vines planted in schist and granite-based soils. A blend of several vintages starting back to 2008 and through 2019 that were fractionally blended in old oak French barrels (225L). Olerasay is code for internal code at the winery for "Solera" as the Mullineux winery is unable to list the wine as Solera-aged, as per the local wine authorities. Straw wine is made from grapes that were harvested and then left to dry on straw mats. This allows the sugars and acidity to concentrate in each grape before the first pressing.

Chenin Blanc
