Ch. Bellefont-Belcier, St.-Émilion

Ch. Bellefont-Belcier, St.-Émilion - 2015

Item # 93233 750mL

If you're into that immense, typically Left Bank style, this vintage of Bellefont-Belcier will convert you into a Right Bank drinker in a flash. This boasts black cherries, licorice, and smoke on the palate. A highly extracted red wine with a good dose of tannins and minerals all at once. This will age for decades. Bellefont-Belcier - A typically smaller property in St.-Émillion of only 13 hectares under vine. Composed of 70% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc this is made under the watch of Michel Rolland and in typical style features a high percentage of new oak to balance out the opulently ripe fruit. Seductively styled yet with solid structure this attempts to blend traditional viticultural techniques with modern winemaking to produce a wine appealing in it’s youth but capable of extended ageing.
