Staff Pick Notes

Long ago the Drappier vineyards were established with cuttings of Pinot Noir from Burgundy. This was done out of a desire to create wines of equal elegance. Lively aromatics and alluring dark pink hue are an apt preamble to the rich palate. Whole red fruits (think cherries and raspberries) mingle with brioche and marzipan. This fades into a long finish of citrus and bitter orange peel. The concentration of flavors and tannic grip make this a great pair for rich foods. The efforts of Drappier’s forefathers have traveled a long way to meet you here. After all this time, does it retain that certain “je ne sais quoi” of Burgundy? Try it and decide for yourself.
