Tasting Notes

A fleshy and complex Chardonnay from renowned producer Steve Matthiasson. Linda Vista vineyard sits on a classic area for Chardonnay in Napa, where cool winds from the oceans come in, giving the wine bright acidity and fresh fruit quality.

Staff Pick Notes

Hailing from one of the cooler parts of Napa, this elegant Chardonnay has more in common with Chablis than it does with Carneros. Fleshy and lithe, with flavors of yellow plums, Meyer lemon and honey, the elegant richness on the palate comes from the inherent minerality and a light stirring of the lees in neutral barrels. An exceptionally made wine, from a winemaker who has built a reputation as a first-class grower. It's clear that a wine of this character can only be made by someone who really understands his land and his vines. It's no surprise then that Steve Matthiasson was named 2014's Winemaker of the Year by the SF Chronicle.
