A blend based on 60% Nero d'Avola and Frappato and made in the southeastern part of Sicily in the area of Cerasuolo di Vittoria. This comes from 40 year old vines and was aged in old, Slavonian casks for several years. The result is a full-bodied, dark-berried wine that is still quite primary at this point and could age for a good 10 years. The tannins and fresh fruit are calling for rich fare.
