Aged for 14 years in traditional oak casks, this is then aged for a further few months in a variety of different rum casks from the Carribean. Delish!
Sometimes you just want pure pleasure. Most Balvenie Scotches are honeyed and layered with flavor, but after 14 years in traditional Bourbon cask + a few more months in rum barrel, Balvenie takes it to another level. The aroma is rich with notes of tropical fruits, namely passion fruit, and creamy toffee, while palate has sweet vanilla with notes of apples and mangoes with a hint of orange in the background. The finish is mouth coating and lingers with a hint of vanilla. YUM!
