Kevin Herson is doing one of the rarest things in the spirits world, making everything entirely from scratch (save for growing his own ingredients). In theory that should mean more attention to detail is given at each step of the process yielding something with more nuance and complexity than most things. We're happy to say that in practice, with his spirits, this holds up tremendously well. The Bitter Liqueur is pleasantly bitter without being bracing delivered through the use of 25 different herbs and botanicals featuring Turkish Rhubarb, myrtle leaf, bitter orange, dark muscovado sugar. This is our absolute favorite new addition to this red hot category.
