The whiskey opens up with fragrant notes that evoke the historic apple orchards just north of the city in the Hudson Valley. With some time in your glass, it reveals more with notes of espresso infused milk chocolate, dried cherries, cracked pepper, lavender, lemon/ginger tea and fresh baked rye bread. This Bottled in Bond release is also an entry in the newly minted Empire Rye category with the rye grains used for the mash hailing from NY farms.
