Vermouth and sherry are two of my favorite drinks, so what could be better than a vermouth based on sherry? Not much. We currently have three red sherry-based vermouths, and I am a fan of all three. But they have different sherries as their base and hence bring a different experience to the table. Atamán is based on Manzanilla, but makes a surprisingly rich vermouth. It's dense, full-bodied, and lusciously silky, with dried figs, raisins, toasted nuts and a spicy, slightly bitter finish. Great for cocktails or topped with tonic and an orange slice.
