With Shane Fraser at the helm, formerly of Glenfarclas fame, this Highland distiller located at the very northern tip of Scotland, is producing some of the finest, nuanced malts of any distiller. As they continue to flesh out their potential, some of their most interesting bottlings are surfacing in this series of limited small batch releases. For No.375, malts aged for just under five years in half size casks and First Fill Bourbon where married into second fill Oloroso Sherry casks for finishing. There is creamy malt, sweet butter, salted caramel orchard fruits, white tea and wisps of smoke. Pretty amazing how much flavor is packed into this.Natural color and bottled by hand, this one-off batch was limited to 5,500 bottles for the world.
