Tasting Notes

Delightfully dry and abundantly ripe, this crémant offers beautiful white fruits and citrus on the nose. The palate and finish have a love-able, tangy quality. Like Clotilde's other wines, this bubbly is extremely well made.

Staff Pick Notes

Clotilde Davenne’s Cremant is perfect to start off any type of gathering. It's lean, lithe, and full of crisp energy. You'll love the scents of green apple, white flowers, and brioche. The palate is creamy, loaded with minerals, and tinged with lemon-lime citrus, and green apples. The blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir has been aged for a year on lees with no added dosage. This is Astor's third staff pick given to Ms Davenne. Give this bottle a whirl and find out why we think she's so great.

Terroir,...

During a huge popularity surge beginning in the late 1980s, Chardonnay plantings have increased dramatically -- not only in California's wine country, with which the variety is nearly synonymous, but also in Burgundy (its original, Old World home) and just about everywhere else in the winemaking...
