A Spritz for the Summer

While the classic spritz is built around a bitter red aperitivo, today's versions play with everything from bright citrus and floral flavors to herbal vermouths and fruit-forward liqueurs.

3-2-1, let’s go! In a large glass with ice, add 3 parts Prosecco, 2 parts bitter (or not-so-bitter) liqueur, and 1 part plain soda water. Give it a gentle mix, then add a straw and your garnish of choice.

Even simpler? A vermouth spritz is as easy as 2 parts soda water to 1 part vermouth over ice. Garnish with a slice of citrus, olives, or fresh herbs, and you're ready for summer.
