Excelsior Cabernet Sauvignon - 2023

750 mL
Item # 11085

The De Wet family has been growing grapes and making wine on their family farm in Robertson since 1859. The dry climate here allows for water stress to force the vines to grow smaller, more concentrated fruit. Black fruits, and a touch of oak influence give this dry red a pleasant structure that is very accessible. Pair with a classic braai.

Staff Pick Notes

Here is on the best priced, balanced and delicious wines in the store! I have not always found that to be the case with wines of South Africa. Rich inviting notes of loganberry, black currants greet the senses with little effort. Silky and soft on the palate but with a lifting quality providing a freshness keeping it a lively experience! The De Wet family has history going back to 1697 and had the foresight to plant vines then. The tradition continues with an eye on quality and it is evident in the wine. Cheers!

Wines lately coming out of South Africa - in particular, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and...

Today, Cabernet Sauvignon has a...
