When it comes to Tequila, you are best suited to choose a bottle that honors the traditional methods of production. The best ones follow these practices: Hand harvesting of mature, 7 year old agave; stone oven steaming; stone roller mill (Tahona) shredding; and natural yeast fermentation. This way you’ll know you’re enjoying what the ancestors have. Siete Leguas have been using these methods since 1952. Because of this, you’ll be smelling and tasting the natural essence of the Agave fruit. This bottle of Añejo has been aging in ex Bourbon barrels for 24 months. The oak is so well integrated like a nice Chardonnay. It is soft and silky smooth. It smells and tastes of orchard and citrus fruits, cucumbers, sea water, taffy candy, and anise spice. Like most true crafted Añejos, availability is very limited.
