Savagnin "Amphore," Tissot - 2018

Item # 27125 750mL

A wild Savagnin with grape tannins weaving through a complex array of sensations. Candied orange zest, bay leaf, dried yellow plums, roasted apricots, quince paste, and the list can go on. Proper acidity plays well to support this mélange of flavors. A wine of contemplation, to be certain! Do not serve very cold, and share with friends. No additional sulfur was added to this wine. A wine for white-fleshed meats, sweetbreads, curries, and strong cheeses. It can easily age 10 plus years and still give multiple layers of satisfaction. This Savagnin was matured in cask fed to Amphora embedded in the domaine's cellar.
