Tasting Notes

A ruby red, cool Chilean Pinot Noir. Intense aromas of black currants, brambly berries, and cedar dominate, textured with lively spices, fruit-forward acidity, and elegant structure. A warm, rounded finish completes the picture. Share with friends over charred or slow-cooked lamb and chicken. This is all estate-grown fruit; the Pinot Noir comes form the coolest regions of the Casablanca Valley, from vineyards of clay and decomposed granite.

Terroir,...

Aconcagua

Situated northwest of the Chilean capital, Santiago, the Aconcagua region is famous for its richly textured Chardonnays and, more recently, its distinctive Sauvignon Blancs, Cabernet Sauvignons, Merlots and Pinot Noirs. The actual Aconcagua mountain is located in Argentina, near the Chilean border. It is the highest peak in the western hemisphere.

Chile

Chilean winemakers are known for opening their arms to forgotten European grape varieties, nursing them back to health, and then releasing them back to the rest of the world - and we can’t thank them enough for it. Chile’s friendly, delicious Carmenères are the best example, but Chile is generally one of the most consistent sources of delicious, ready-to-drink, approachable wines. Cabernet...
