Vicario Monk's Secret Herbal Liqueur

A garden of earthly delights is captured in bottle like a magic potion, bursting to get out and one that will have you under its spell once it does. Vicario is a dedicated student of ancient old world liqueurs traditions and after spending countless hours pouring over archives from ancient monasteries and abbeys, they have created an old school medicinal elixir primarily from ingredients grown in their gardens. This falls stylistically into a school of similar spirits a la Chartreuse but with its own unmistakable distinctive character. Notes include lemon, sage, fennel seed, tarragon, bitter gentian, olive oil and more. Remarkably well balanced with a roundness on the nose and palate and a pleasantly long bittersweet finish that lingers and fades out in brilliant fashion. This blew us away. A true achievement in its class.
