The first highly anticipated release of the whiskey season is in. This is also the first proprietary bottling from our good friends PM Spirits based in Brooklyn. The whiskey itself is top shelf Indiana bourbon distilled from a high rye mash and aged to perfection for eight years. The bottling at full proof really helps this spirit drink like the older bottlings everyone is craving without the added bitter tannins from too much time in barrel. Notes include warm apple pie, orange blossom honey, holiday ham, caramel, clove, black peppercorn, grilled sourdough bread and more A great achievement. Get yours while you can. Mic Drop is a very dry style of whiskey with a healthy dollop of spicy wood, but not over the top. It's this kind of balance that eludes many more expensive American whiskies. I love the straight forwardness of the complete details on the label. What is, where it's from and an age statement with bottling date. No hiding behind fancy marketing or smoke and mirrors here. Upfront and supremely well made. A mature bourbon for mature drinkers. What a find!
