Staff Pick Notes

Rosés are often judged by their color. Ones with darker color are believed to taste like fruit punch and the paler stuff, light and dry. These assumptions will limit your field of vision and you’ll miss all the good pink wines out there. L’Audacieuse has a brilliant, pale-salmon color, but it is in no way dainty. The aroma is loaded with pineapple, anise, lychee, and tangy white apricot. The palate has more body than its color would suggest along with plenty of fruit from the nose. These notes may make you think its sweet, but it’s dry, and, in fact, a bit tart. This wine is a far cry from any rosé archetypes, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
