Ohishi has been distilling on the southern Japanese island of Kyushu for nearly 150 years. For their whiskey range they utilize nearly 1/3rd estate grown rice as well as sourcing multiple famed local aromatic varities from farmers nearby. The Tokubetsu Reserve is an annual release created to showcase the distinguished quality of these whiskies as well as the depth and complexity found in the Ohishi cellars. The 2018 release is comprised of 27 yr old (29%), 10yr old (35%) and 7yr old (36%) stocks each aged in ex-Sherry and selected specifically for the exceptional character of each cask. Very limited supply.
