Gue Rila

Just a few kilometers from the Italian Alps in Vipavska Slovenia, Zmago Petric is employing biodynamic and organic practices to produce a noteworthy Barbera that's rich in the dark forest fruits of the region. Hand harvested, spontaneous fermentation, no filtration or fining is in line with Zmago's philosophy of stewardship of the land as a parent. Enjoy with a bowl Tagarin with Speck as you watch the new wave of Slovenian cyclists conquer the Italians and French in the Alps this summer, and you will understand why this relatively little known region is climbing so strong!
