Tlamati Puebla Papalometl Mezcal - 2020

Some of the most distinctive and highest caliber agave to arrive in recent memory. Produced from very high elevation agaves growing near Puebla's active volcano, these traditional and deeply soulful mezcals are made by indigenous father and son duo Balbino and Sergio Salas at their revered palenque. This micro batch 100% Papalometl (the Tobala of Puebla) has had the benefit of resting for a couple of years since it was made in August 2020 and the extra time has concentrated all of the flavors in this spirit taking the typically elegant nature of this agave to another level. Notes include kiwi, lime zest, yellow apples, tamarind and coconut over a rich patina of minerals. Very limited.
