A new bottler to the States, Cusih is already gaining renown in agave circles for the sensational quality of the agave spirits being bottled and their committment to the core tenets of this region and their peoples. This batch was made by one of the living local legends of Santa Catarina Minas, Rufino Felipe, who has been making the traditional mezcals of this famous village for at least 65yrs and counting. His mezcals are strong and idyosyncratic, just like the land the agaves grew in and the man himself. Made from 100% Cerrudo, still a very rare find, the mezcal is deeply complex with wide ranging notes that hit on a multitiude of flavor profiles. Only a few bottles of this to share. Don't miss it.
