Production Methods

Certified Organic

Wine made from grapes grown without synthetic pesticides, fertilizers and herbicides in the vineyard. Certified in the country of origin.

Orange Wine (Skin Contact)

Orange wine is made by using white wine grapes, which are pressed and left in contact with the skins, seeds, and stems for an extended period of time, similar to how red wine is made.

This prolonged maceration extracts color, tannins, and phenols, giving the wine a darker, sometimes orange color. It also produces a wine with more structure and intense flavor.

Maceration times can vary between a few hours to many months, with longer contact giving more color and extraction.

Staff Pick Notes

Tom Lubbe was born in South Africa, grew up in New Zealand and started his winemaking journey in the Rousillon region of Southwest France. He felt he had an affinity for the varietals that grow there. He fell in love, got married, and confirmed that that's where he'd stay. He has since become a renegade hero in the natural wine world. Coume de l'Olla uses fruit from the the vineyard of that name. Aromatic Macabeu and Muscat comprise the blend. The vines are 45 years old and grow on marl and limestone. The must is in contact with stems and skins for 14 days in concrete. It is a wine that is so vibrant and full of life. You'll find a beautiful melange of orange colored fruit like persimmon, cantaloupe, and mandarin. Mouthwatering acidity keeps the wine feeling fresh. At the back, the feel of supple tannins kick in.
