Our second pick from Ignacio Juarez in this series, and we hardly have the words to describe of special this bottling is. The bonafides speak for themselves - an ensamble of agaves almost never seen together, all grown on the hallowed terroir near Mihuatlan. Then added to the agaves during distillation are fresh lime peels from the local seasonal. Because of the extremely rare nature of this bottling we collaborated with Marco Ochoa of Gusto to have every single bottle for the batch hand woven-wrapped by a single artisan, a traditional art form that takes a minimum of 4 full days of labor per bottle. To add to the rarirty only 20 liters of this magical liquid were produced! The lime influence is pervasive and uplifting. The blend of agaves mean there is everything from fruit, to spice, to earth and more on the palate but the mezcal is harmonious if intense.
